This relaxed two-piece set is such a dream to wear and sew. It features an oversized raglan top paired with easy, loose fit lounge shorts, basically the ultimate comfy outfit for relaxing at home while still looking cute.

The pattern comes with lots of great options, including a choice of crop or full top lengths, elbow, 3/4, or long sleeves, and optional sleeve pleat details. The shorts are high-rise with an elastic waistband and optional drawstring, plus slant pockets and two inseam lengths so you can customise the fit.

For mine, I made the crop length with elbow sleeves with the pleats using the dreamiest soft terry velour from ABC Fabric. It’s seriously so cozy! I used a viscose jersey for the neckband to give it a little extra stretch, which worked perfectly.

Honestly it’s so comfy I might need to make a few more sets so I can wear one everyday 😂

Rumi Raglan Sweatshirt By Made For Mermaids

OMG, I'm in love with my new Rumi Raglan Sweatshirt in these beautiful Terry Velour fabrics from ABC Fabric. This time I made the crop length with cowl neck which I lined and went for the drawstring option for the waist but only did it as one side. It's great that it comes with different options as I also went for the colour block back. Super comfy, now I need some bottoms/shorts to make a cute set.

The Pebble & Banyan Bundle By Boo and Lu Patterns

 

Boo and Lu patterns have just released two new pattern which work so well together. Meet Banyan bralette, midi top and dress length, and meet Pebble flare pants. Banyan comes with the option of a built in shelf bra or lining it's the perfect exercising/ everyday wear. Pebble are super comfy and easy to make, you make make the fold over waistband like I did or a normal waistband. I love the flared leg silhouette. I used this striped ribbed jersey from ABC Fabric and some mesh for a bit of colour blocking and took my time with a bit of pattern matching. They might even become my secret pjs.

Let me show you this fun new pattern from Made for mermaids, meet Rumi an oversize knit raglan sweatshirt. Rumi comes with different back options from solid, colour block, or lace-up but only for the crop length. Two different lengths from crop to sweatshirt length. We have a Crossover hood or cowl option and for the sleeves you have tank, standard long sleeve with cuff, or balloon long sleeve with elastic. I made the crop length with tie up back and balloon sleeves in this soft grey loopback from ABC Fabric. It was really easy to sew and feels soft to the body. For a top like this you don't need much stretch to your fabric as it's an oversized style.

Sylvie Cut-Out Cup Size Dress Pattern by Ellie & Mac

Meet the new Sylvie cut-out cup size dress from Ellie & Mac. Features lots of different options, to start you can have a cut-out in the front & back or no cut-out at all. Comes with a fitted skirt or a line skirt knee length or calf length, the option of bell sleeves, flounce or elbow and long sleeves and finally crew or scoop neckline. I made the fitted calf length skirt with side splits, bell sleeves and I went for the front and back cut-out option. I used this lovely soft loopback jersey from ABC Fabric.

Whitney Faux Wrap Top by Made for Mermaids

Have you checked out the new Whitney wrap top from Made for mermaids patterns. It's a faux wrap and comes with so many different options from curved or straight hem, thin or thick ties, sleeveless, short sleeves to long sleeves with thumb hole, it's just amazing.

Whitney only comes in one length which aims to hit high hip. I made the curved front hem with long thumb hole sleeves and thin ties in this lovely pink textured knit from ABC Fabric it sewed up really well and feels nice and soft. You can also make Whitney a true wrap if you wanted to, by using both long ties and leaving a little opening down one side to pull the tie through.

The Rebound Set By George & Ginger Patterns

George & Ginger are back with an amazing new pattern, meet The Rebound set, there are 3 different designs that go over the perfectly fitted vest top that comes in crop, top and dress length. I made view (A) with neckband and top length top under and also view (B) in this lovely green rib because I couldn't decide which one I wanted and still planning to do view (C). It was a quick make and it's a perfect little overlay. I had a little of this pink leopard knit that was just the right size and use a soft pink jersey for my top fabric from ABC Fabric. Bombay Jacket By Annie ets es coutures

Meet the amazing new Bombay Jacket, It’s finally here for you all to check out!
With welt pockets and a cute little zip pocket on the sleeve, hello safe place for keys, Bombay is fully lined for that perfect, polished finish.
It’s a woven pattern and does require ribbing for the waistband and collar. I went with a boucle main, marocain crepe lining, and ribbing to finish it off from ABC Fabric and I’m obsessed with the result.
Dress it up for the office or wear it casually every day. Love how mine turned out.

Self-Drafted Oversized Wool Jacket by Ashely Riley

I'm over the moon with the 2nd jacket I made using my own bodice block made on Petra's course. My first jacket had welt pockets and a storm flap, this one I went for patch pockets, tabs on the shoulders with more of a drop shoulder in an oversized style. I used some wool from my stash and lined it with some purple marocain crepe from ABC Fabric. Love how it turned out and knowing I created the pattern myself is a big achievement. I feel confident in creating my next jacket now!
