The Star Struck Top & Everlong Pants from George + Ginger

I wanted an outfit for myself that I could wear around Christmas time but also something I could wear on a day to day basis. I made the Everlong Pants from George + Ginger, I really like the front pleat and pockets on these. I also went for the Star Struck Top minus a few straps, and crossed the straps at the back. All made in scuba so I didn't need to add the zip in the pants as the fabric has great stretch.

The Maze Top from George & Ginger

I'm so excited to share with you all, this amazing new pattern that has just released from George & Ginger. The Maze Top can be made in an over-the-top style with horsehair braid and structured fabric. You can make it strapless and sleeve options which are short, elbow, 3/4 and long sleeve. The Maze Top comes in three lengths, short, hi-lo and long, I had to make them all. Without the horsehair braid you get a more draped look.

Magical Princess Costume Hack from Ellie and Mac

Check out the new Magical Princess Costume blog over at Ellie and Mac, which has lots of easy new hacks to create the princess look with their patterns. I made this fairy tale costume using the 'Dashing Dress' pattern. I added some length to the collar and lined with interface to help it stand. Then I widened the sleeves to add some pleats and the armband.

I love how easy it was to create this princess costume, I also added my own petticoat for the extra fullness and a perfect shape! I used a medium weight jersey for the top and yellow ponti for the skirt.
