The Sewing Boss Cut File from Ellie and Mac

Have you seen the awesome new cut file's Ellie and Mac have released?

They are perfect for us sewing lovers to add a design to our clothes or even make a gift for someone. I love sewing so much I thought this was the perfect cut file for me. Sewing Boss is only one of the five new designs and worked great on my Oversized Tee. Using my Cricut to cut the designs out, I carefully ironed them on!

The Payton Top from Sonia Estep Designs

Sonia Estep Designs has released this super cool Peyton Top, it's a dolman style with different length sleeves, a gathered skirt - with the options of a straight hem or high low hem. It comes with a faux placket so you can add some fancy buttons if you like. I used this soft jersey knit which worked really well for this pattern.

Staycation Dress & Oversize Tee Pattern Mix from Ellie and Mac

I've saved this dress for so long, I needed some inspiration to make it. Ellie & Mac always come up great, by mixing the Oversized Tee and the Staycation Dress my outfit came to life.

I hacked the Oversized Tee into a v-neck, so the dress was button up. I went up a size to count for the button seam allowance and went a few sizes up on the tiered skirt from the Staycation pattern too. I left the sleeves off but added length to the drop-sleeve and added to cute pockets on the front. These patterns are really fun and easy to mix up. I used this lovely cream linen fabric which I think worked really well.

The Whitney Pattern from Sonia Estep Designs

Have you seen the new Whitney pattern from Sonia Estep Designs?

Whitney is a super cool top that has loads of options from, bishop sleeves, to straight sleeves, hood, curved and straight hem. I used the curved hem with bishop sleeve and hood, and went for a tie-up option instead of buttons and I really love how it turned out. I used this awesome green camo Lycra to create this look.

The Monique Pattern from Designer Stitch

The amazing Monique Pattern is here from Designer Stitch patterns and come with loads of options!

Monique at first was only a jumpsuit and dress but the awesome Ann added the romper/shorts too, I'm so glad she did as it makes such cute shorts romper and these double layer flutter sleeves are just perfect for summer. But you know me, I had to try all the options as well as the bishop sleeves with button cuffs. I used a non-stretch crepe which feels so flowy and worked really well. This is a pattern that you need to try!
