The Riley Crossover Bra from Rad Patterns

Have you seen the new Riley Crossover Bra from Rad Patterns!

This pattern includes options for a pullover style bra or with a front closure. Front closure can be done using snaps or S hooks and creates adjustability through the band as well as a convenient way to get it on and off for those who have trouble with pullover styles. The back is a wider racer back style for comfort and support. I paired on with so panel undies also a Rad pattern, made in cotton Lycra.

The Zircon Tunic from Eunoia Design Group

You know I like to mix patterns well here I've mixed two Eunoia Design Patterns together. Have you been thinking what the Zircon would look like as a lace up and mixed with the Sapphire?

I've used the Zircon bodice and the Sapphire two panel peplum with pockets. Added grommets instead of snaps for this more sexy look. I also cut away some fabric around the arm cycle to add armbands. I love how it looks.

Pattern Mix: Crossover Dress & Be Adventurous Tunic from Ellie and Mac

The sun is out, a perfect day to get some pictures of my beautiful Buffet Dress that I made for the Sewing Bee Challenge. I mixed two patterns to create this style: the 'Crossover Dress/Top' pattern which I sized up one for the woven fabric I used, and also the 'Be Adventurous Tunic' pattern using the hi-low gather hem part as my bodice was one level it's not hi-low but all one length.

I added a few extra inches in length for the second tier for more gathers. The sleeves are from the Crossover pattern but instead of cutting them on the fold I cut them in two inches with an extra half inch added to the hem for an open sleeve nicking Adams idea. Then I added a cuff-tie to close them off and I'm over the moon with how it turned out!

The Vista Top from George & Ginger Patterns

I also wanted to share the new Vista top from George & Ginger Patterns. It comes with the new size block which is amazing as I'm only short I always have to shorten but the new size block comes in three lengths; petite, regular and tall, so no more having to shorten my patterns. I love the twist, its my favorite part of this pattern, made in a cotton interlock.

The Brenda Dress Pattern from Designer Stitch

It finally here the amazing Brenda Dress Pattern from Designer Stitch. I love it so much, the sleeve options are just fabulous. The fit is great and Brenda comes with a tapered or A-line skirt. You all know me by now, I can't just make one, I have to try all the sleeves out.

The sleeves options are a Bishop Shape but with a tapered upper bicep area, a gorgeous statement length Petal Sleeve and finally a mid length Pleated Sleeve onto Lower Cuff. Made in scuba and scuba crepe.

New Projector for Sewing!

Everyone has been asking about what sewing machines I use and specifically about projectors. I have a basic Brother FS-40 sewing machine, Brother 1034d overlocker and my newest gadget a Brother coverstitch cv3440.

I have found that Brother is a really good quality brand, popular and easy to repair. I also bought an inexpensive Apeman LC350 projector to try and I love it, no more sticking and printing. My projector is attached to a celling/wall mount which I project down onto my fabric on the floor. It gives me a big area to work on, also I place my laptop on top of a 5 foot unit close to the projector so my wires reach.

Thinking of investing in one?
