The Ryder Skirt by Designer Stitch

Just finished a fresh make with the new Designer Stitch Ryder skirt in a pink cotton corduroy, paired with the Yvette top in white broderie anglaise jersey.

The pink cord was lovely to work with, soft, not too bulky. I cut all pieces with the nap running the same way, which is pretty much essential with corduroy unless you want weird shading issues. I made the short length which keeps it feeling light rather than heavy.

The Yvette top is all about those three teardrop keyholes at the neckline . They're the time consuming part, definitely not a rush job. I took it slow and pressed carefully at every stage. Worth the effort because they really make the top.

The white broderie anglaise jersey is a nice contrast to the corduroy. Textural without competing with the pink. Both fabrics are from ABC Fabric and are comfortable and easy to wear.

Pink and white just works. Warm and soft up top, crisp and detailed underneath. Good transitional outfit.
